Keeping pilots flying
You’re Cleared For Takeoff.
The medical certification for pilots can be stressful and intimidating, especially for those who depend on flying for a livelihood. We strive to make the process as easy and friendly as possible. We also offer same week appointments, evenings and Saturdays are also available.
To prepare for your appointment, please have the following available:
** New applicants, or those changing Category, will not receive a stamp at the appointment. Your forms are submitted electronically to the Regional Director's office for review and approval. Renewing applicants will usually receive their Medical Certification stamp at the conclusion of the appointment unless there is a medical concern requiring further investigations and a review by the Regional Director's office. Official documentation of certification will come from the Regional Director's office. You can continue to fly as long as you have received a stamp on your form at the appointment. See you at your appointment.
All medications, prescriptions and over the counter medications used in the past 12 months. Driver’s license and Health Card (for identification purposes). Complete page 1 of the Medical Form and bring it to your appointment. Summary of your past medical history; use page 2 of the Medical Form for a guide on questions that will be asked.
Last vision prescription/examination from your optometrist/ ophthalmologist
Your eye glasses or contact lenses will have to be removed for the purpose of the examination.
Your current Medical Certificate (if applicable) for renewal purposes.
ECG, audiogram, urine and blood testing is available during the visit if required for the purpose of the examination.
